We’re Scott & Nicolette
We are international award-winning photographers who met in 2010 when we started our Bachelors of Art in Photography at RMIT University in Melbourne. Least loved amongst our own trio of friends, a lecturer paired us stragglers together and we have been inseparable ever since.
When they say ‘opposites attract’ we can certainly say they do. Short and tall, olive and fair skin, our musical tastes too are polar opposites, but we share a love for the magical world of Harry Potter, rom-com ‘Chick Flicks’ and the dream to create captivating photographs.
In 2017, after having our dream wedding the year before, we bought our cosy home in the serene township of Gisborne, with our daughter Luna joining us later that year. She is every bit weird, crazy, as her parents but she is adorable, the perfect combo for our family trio. Just to keep us on our toes, 2021 made us a family of 4 as our gorgeous Lily came into our world.
Our favourite things to do are listening to music, traveling and Harry Potter, and when we’re not in the studio, you’ll find us chilling on the couch listening to our favourite records, or building Harry Potter Lego. We couldn’t live without music. And family and friends. Oh, and good food. We spend a lot of our time at home with our favourite people and nothing makes us happier than laughing and hanging out with them, playing board games, and even winning sometimes.
Our joint love of photography, and creativity, is what got us into family photography. We’ve been photographers for 10 years and we can’t imagine doing anything else. In 2019 we decided to expand our portraiture studio and construction commenced on our dream studio space, which in 2020 is newly completed and we can’t wait to show you through!
Our photography style is artistic and stylish. We help pose our families, as really, unless you’re a model, being in front of the camera isn’t something you do every day. We like to create poses for our families to interact in, and be themselves, the best of both worlds. We are about more than just pretty photos; we want to give you the best experience possible from start to finish. You are special, and we want you to feel that. You deserve this. The experience with your family is what you will remember when looking back at the photos, so we strive to make sure it’s a good one.
We just love capturing all the fleeting and beautiful moments for our wonderful families. What we love most about being photographers is watching the joy it brings when our clients see their photos for the first time.
